My Clickfunnels Review
Just like how all roads lead to Rome, so too, are there many different kinds of methods that business owners can use to grow their enterprise and rake in the big bucks. One particular method when it comes to seeing my business boom would be to create a sales funnel in order to increase the chances of getting my visitors and customers to spend as much as possible when purchasing products or services from me.
This would require the relevant know-how and skill in developing a sales funnel which is capable of offering more than just “business as usual” to my customers. In the long run, strategic use of sales funnels will be able to increase the value of every single customer.
How did ClickFunnels manage to catch my attention? In a nutshell, leveraging the qualities of ClickFunnels will be able to maximize the spending of each customer who engage in my services and products, transforming all customers into possible big spenders.
While there are established landing page builders in the market like LeadPages, I have found ClickFunnels to work great for me. Better late than never in seizing the opportunity to ensure that the sales funnel strategy can be easily implemented in virtually any business model to maximize profit from individual customers.
Knowing that this is a secret that is too good to keep to myself, I would like to invite my readers to read my ClickFunnels review. At the end of it all, I do hope that whoever reads my review will find that the ClickFunnels cost is going to be a small drop in a large ocean of profits at the end of the day, making any investment in this software to generate sales and marketing funnels as an imperative item on the agenda.
To date, I have tried applying ClickFunnels to some of my online business channels and the results have totally blown my mind. It is as though a drag race that involves both ClickFunnels and LeadPages will see the latter eating the former’s dust. However, do bear in mind that there is no “ultimate” or “perfect” sales tool, but since I love to speak from experience and share my knowledge to help others build a better life, here is what I think of ClickFunnels.
I will also share some tips and tricks on how I have leveraged ClickFunnels to help grow and strengthen my business further, in addition to how it stacks up against LeadPages and different competitors when it comes to online sales of products and services.
Why create my own sales funnel?
Prior to knowing more about the ClickFunnels software, it is extremely important to figure out the critical importance of sales funnels and its function in generating the maximum amount of profit.
Right at the top would be this: the very moment someone enters my sales funnel, that visitor can be considered to be mine for the rest of his or her life. After all, a positive sales funnel is an extremely adept collector of any visitor’s email address.
The sooner I get hold of their email, the faster I can begin to pre-sell my leads and everything else about my product or service that is suitable for them. Like a good movie, book, or play, toying with the visitor’s emotions to build up to a crescendo is key in creating the gold standard of business currency: trust. Once I have gained the visitor’s trust, it is far easier for them to make a purchase decision.
From there, the sales funnel method would require me to send my leads to a sales page. The sales page must be a standout page, one that has been specially designed and formatted in such a way so that people simply cannot wait to part with their money for a purchase. Most of the time, a good sales page will comprise of a catchy headline, accompanied by relevant videos or images, as well as bullet points that provide a quick yet informative reference on how the purchase would benefit one’s life. All of these will work in tandem to keep my visitor excited and hopefully, seal the deal with a sale.
Once my customer has entered their credit card and made the purchase, this is the best time for me to continue the journey of this nice, warm fuzzy feeling that they have inside by making a special single or additional One Time Offers (OTOs), other kinds of upsells and downsells.
If profit can be maximized from each customer, that would be the ideal situation. Imagine how my business will be able to grow exponentially upon applying this concept.
Assuming at this point in time, I am currently seeing a conversion rate of 10% of my customers by selling them an item that is worth $10 a pop, netting me a net profit of $5. Each century of visitors would see me grind out an average of 10 sales, resulting in a $50 profit.
What would happen to my bank account if I were able to upsell 30% of my customers, as they decide to splurge on a $10 for an additional item, while another 10% of them will sign up for an annual package of $500?
My mind was blown after crunching the numbers. This means that each 100 visitors who drop by my site, I am now able to sell 10 items, a trio of additional items, and a single annual package. This results in a profit of $600, translating to a whopping 1,200% increase.
I realized that increasing my profit margins provides me with the necessary leverage in order to outspend my business rivals in crucial areas such as advertisements that will further increase the number of potential customers who will walk right into my sales funnel. The more visitors who drop by, the larger my bank account will swell.
With so many different kinds of sales funnel examples available, it is important for me to come up with one that has been tailor-made for my business model. While that is more difficult and challenging than it sounds, it is possible to implement. The presence of ClickFunnels simply makes life easier in this aspect, as it was specially developed in order to make it a snap when it concerns the creation of sales funnels. This feature has freed up additional time for me as I do not need to concern myself with all of the headache inducing technical matters during the setup process.

What do I like about features in ClickFunnels?
Cool Feature #1: Funnel template blueprints
I like the way that ClickFunnels does not leave me high and dry even though I might not have created a sales funnel in my entire life. There are three main categories of funnel types: Lead Capture Funnels, Sales Page Funnels, and Event Funnels. However, this is a general and flexible rule, as there is always room for other kinds of special funnels such as Membership funnels or the Squeeze Page Funnel which works great when it comes to collecting a visitor’s email address before redirecting them to a Thank you page upon signing up. Small touches like this makes the entire process more human.
Alternatively, there are more sophisticated sales funnels such as the 2-Step TripWire Funnel that will work this way. It first sells a low ticket front-end product (known as my Tripwire) before kicking in the upsell process by parading more premium products via Order Form bumps, in addition to One Click upsells or Downsells.
Not only that, every single funnel type is characterized by its very own set of free templates as well as paid templates. It will come as a relief to know that even without any kind of design skills, these funnel pages will deliver a consistent and professional design that is sure to help drive sales.
I will provide a very brief summary on how I launched my first sales funnel:
- Select a funnel type.
- Pick a template.
- Customize each individual page to be business-specific.
- Include my products and making sure that both email and payment integrations are in place.
- Make sure my new funnel has a domain name assigned to it.
- Save my funnel.
Voila! It is all too easy to set up a live sales funnel, and all that was needed is for me to send traffic in the sales funnel’s direction.
Easy-to-use Visual Drag and Drop Editor
As ClickFunnels provided me with a great starting point courtesy of both funnel and page templates, the ClickFunnels editor is the place where I am able to personalize each page according to my whims and fancies.
All pages in ClickFunnels are laid out via segments that can contain both rows and columns, according to the number that you desire. Using my mouse I can then drag the elements that I would like to use around and place them accordingly. It might lack the flexibility of Instapage, but it will suffice for most businesses as there is enough flexibility for it to achieve virtually any design desired.
Being highly intuitive to use is also another plus point of ClickFunnels’ visual drag and drop editor. In a seamless move, I can pick components on the page and bring them over to right where I would like them to be. Text elements are able to be edited inline, while it is easy to modify any element’s properties via the fly-out sidebar. Logically speaking, the layout and organization is very clean, which is something that I love.
Many Page Elements To Choose From
Elements, otherwise known as widgets, are the smaller cogs in the sales funnel that provide the necessary degree of flexibility when it comes to designing personalized pages according to my whim and fancy. Among the basic elements available are Headline, Image, Text, Button, Input forms and Video widgets. With these basic building blocks for landing pages, I was off to a great start.
I was further charmed through the presence of other advanced elements including SMS Signup, Surveys, Pricing Tables, Progress Bars, Facebook Comments, FAQ Blocks, Countdown Timers, and Custom HTML. ClickFunnels even threw in specialized elements such as Membership elements to spruce up my membership page, while my order pages can be graced by order and shipping form elements.
All elements are easily customizable by using the editor sidebar. Most of the elements will feature interchangeable common properties including background colors, margins, fonts, and alignment. There is also room for element specific properties, for example the Image element containing the image URL.
Sharing is caring
I love spreading the good news with other people, and I sincerely believe that this is how we were built. ClickFunnels allows me to share all of my funnels with both friends and clients, and is a cool way to earn some money on the side, too. How do I do that?
First, within the Settings tab of any of my funnels, I can easily select the Share Funnel URL. This means each time a visitor arrives at that particular URL, they will be able to include this particular funnel straight into their respective account, only if they happen to be a current member of ClickFunnels. If they are on the wrong side of making money, this is where the upsell bit kicks in: they will be given a chance to try out ClickFunnels for free for 14 days in order to obtain my funnel.
Apart from that, Share Funnel URL doubles up as my affiliate link. In other words, I will be able to earn passive income through a recurring commission assuming the new user remains. Why not learn how to leverage this feature by being a ClickFunnels consultant? From there, I realized that it will require coming up with niche specific sales funnels in order to sell that to small-sized businesses. Apart from that, I could also sell the very same funnels in the ClickFunnels marketplace, where different ClickFunnels users can purchase them.
Sales funnels have this innate ability to be a great lead magnet or bonus across various niches, and is a fantastic method to suck in visitors into my own funnel through an offer that provides something that they will find useful.
Fantastic onboarding process
At first I thought that I needed to be a rocket scientist to figure out ClickFunnels, but the on-boarding process has proved otherwise. ClickFunnels has made it very easy to get acquainted with it, where I was met with a 7-day challenge after signing up. This 7-day challenge features a quartet of different games. Each of these will require me to complete a specific number of steps. There is a purpose to each step, which is to help me walk through the entire software and learn while I “play”.
In the first game, it was basically a walk-through of building my own Hero Funnel. In the second and third games, ClickFunnel presented introductions to the Funnel Cookbook and the Funnel University, respectively. Last but not least, the final game happens to be a Launch Checklist that guided me through all the necessary steps before I made my funnel go live.
Do take note that the 7-day challenge is not compulsory, but completing the steps earned me some swag such as a ClickFunnels T-shirt and some stickers. What a fun way to learn about ClickFunnels!
Are there weaknesses in ClickFunnels?
Bad Part #1: Adding a funnel is real slow
Upon picking a funnel type and template, all that is left is to add it to my account. However, the entire process seems to drag out up to 10 seconds each time I did so. Definitely one of the more annoying aspects of ClickFunnels in an “instant” generation.
Bad Part #2: There are funnel creation and visitor limits
Yes, my creativity in coming up with sales funnels can be hampered by ClickFunnels’ limit of just 20 funnels, 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors after signing up for the most affordable plan. I do not like software that offers such a ceiling, but since most of the sales funnels will be built for myself, these limits ought to work just fine. However, it is a potential roadblock should I decide to work for my clients and construct funnels for various customers.
Bad Part #3: Learning curve is steep
While ClickFunnels boasts of a rather wide range of features and functions, it could prove to be intimidating to new users. There is a steep learning curve attached to ClickFunnels, but it could also be the reason why the on-boarding process has been turned into a “game” of sorts in order to ease me in. While the overall interface in ClickFunnels has a decent and intuitive design, it might take a few trials in building several funnels before getting the hang of things. I know I did.
How much should I pay for ClickFunnels?
All businesses have their own pricing strategy which will be adjusted accordingly over the course of time, and ClickFunnels is no different. In fact, the pricing plans have evolved from 3 different pricing tiers at first before the current iteration that features 2 kinds of plans.
The most affordable ClickFunnels plan will cost $97 each month. For slightly less than a Benjamin, I am able to access the entirety of funnel creation tools, although the limits that I talked about earlier (creation of 20 funnels, 100 pages, and 20,000 visitors) will be in place. I am also unable to access Actionetics, an integrated email service provider in addition to Backpack, an affiliate program creator.
Should I choose to gain access to both features, then I will have to fork out $297 each month for the Etison Suite plan. This is the plan that offers all of the bells and whistles, and most importantly, unlimited funnels, pages, and visitors.
It does not seem as though there are any ClickFunnels coupon codes available out there to take a smaller hit to my wallet, but opting for an annual payment will net me a 16% ClickFunnels discount. Whipping out my calculator, I realized it amounted to paying for just 10 months, while the remaining 2 months are free.
Thankfully, it is all too easy to test out the ClickFunnels 14-day free trial which does not come with any kind of limitation at all, allowing potentially interested customers to dive right in.
ClickFunnels against the world
As they say there are different strokes for different folks and the same applies to ClickFunnels and other alternatives such as LeadPages and SamCart. Here is how Clickfunnels stacks up to the rest:
ClickFunnels vs LeadPages
LeadPages happens to be a market leader when it comes to building landing pages, and has gained a level of unprecedented popularity. It does however, have a rather limited scope compared to ClickFunnels. While I can end up with a snazzy landing page quickly to help me collect leads, it will not be able to do much for me in terms of selling a product or service. Remember, LeadPages’ strength lies in lead generation (as its name suggests), but leave the sales funnel bit to ClickFunnel.
ClickFunnels vs SamCart
Where SamCart is concerned, this particular product allows me to conjure some of the better looking checkout pages that also have a high conversion rate. So, how is it any different from ClickFunnels?
Therein lies the difference: SamCart is meant to be easily set up and sell right away, offering support for both Stripe and Paypal while featuring 17 different kinds of customizable checkout page templates. However, it lacks the degree of flexibility that ClickFunnel’s drag and drop editor provides. In other words, ClickFunnels is able to design virtually any kind of checkout page that I desire.
I would not like to be limited by Samcart’s basic customizations and pre-made templates. Apart from that, I found out that Samcart is not up to the task of capturing leads and creating complete sales funnels. Considering that both Samcart and ClickFunnels cost $97 each month, the flexibility of ClickFunnels provides it with an edge.
Any business purchase needs to be a rational one, and I decided on ClickFunnel because it fits in with my requirements as well as makes my life even easier as I invest further in my business.
I realized that whether I am selling a single product or have a large inventory, there is no substitute for a quality sales funnel that ClickFunnel can provide. Ultimately, ClickFunnels works best for those who would like to see an increase in their customers’ lifetime value.
